Definition
Customer money held apart from the company's own cash – For an e-wallet, the balance users have loaded into their wallets is held in trust or segregated accounts rather than in the operator's own cash, and appears on the balance sheet next to an equal-sized liability to those users. It is not the company's to spend, so it is left out when judging how much cash the business itself holds. Found In: Balance Sheet; Notes to Financial Statements
