GOV (Gross Order Value)

DoorDash's own name for the same underlying concept as GMV (total dollar value of orders, including taxes, tips, and fees).

Definition

Gross Order Value – DoorDash's own name for the same underlying concept as GMV» (total dollar value of orders, including taxes, tips, and fees), but scoped only to its Marketplace orders — it excludes the dollar value of orders fulfilled through its white-label Drive offering, since DoorDash charges Drive on a per-order fee basis and typically doesn't see the underlying order's dollar value. A company-specific label worth knowing so it isn't mistaken for a like-for-like GMV comparison against a competitor that includes its equivalent of Drive in the headline number.
