Definition

Fiber/Cable Network Coverage – The number of homes or buildings physically within reach of a fiber or cable operator's network (the cable runs past or near the premises), regardless of whether the occupant has actually subscribed to the service. A rising Home Passed count shows network buildout/coverage growth, not customer or revenue growth — a separate take-up or penetration rate is needed to know how many of those homes actually became paying subscribers.
