Like-for-Like Growth – Also called same-store sales growth (SSSG). Revenue growth measured only across stores that have been operational for a minimum period (commonly 24 months), excluding the contribution of newly opened stores. Strips out the mechanical revenue boost a retailer gets simply from adding new locations, isolating whether existing stores are actually seeing more footfall or higher spend per visit — a retailer can grow total revenue briskly through store additions while its like-for-like number quietly decelerates, which is the more honest read on underlying demand.
