Monetization Rate – The percentage of the total transaction/processing volume flowing through a platform that the company actually keeps as revenue (or net revenue). A rising take rate means the company is extracting more value per dollar of volume processed; a falling one means volume is growing faster than monetization, however impressive the headline growth number looks. Take Rate = Net Revenue / Total Processed Volume (or GMV/TPV)
